About Me

My photo
Kelly
I am youth librarian shared by two large-ish public libraries in Iowa that are six miles apart. A former English teacher and then high school librarian, I moved to a public library job in 2010. I had always wanted to work with younger children at some point in my career, so although I loved working with high schoolers, I knew I might not get another opportunity to work in a public library with younger children, so I made the move, and I absolutely love my job! A public librarian I knew as a child had a profound effect on my development as a reader and learner, and I love having the opportunity to provide the children in my community with the kinds of experiences that shaped me as a reader. I am also a puppeteer dabbling in writing my own scripts and making my own puppets.
